The online courses, based on sound academic principles, are intended for decision-makers from different government levels and representatives of the private sector, NGOs and international organizations.


Local Water Solutions for Global Challenges

This free online programme will give you a comprehensive overview of global water challenges and the means to identify local solutions. The content of the modules is based on original materials developed for Hydrogeology and Water Resources Education at the University of Strathclyde and is supported by students who take part in the Vertically Integrated Project (VIP) Water, Sanitation and International Development.

This e-learning course aims at strengthening the capacities of government officials, especially those at the local level, and disaster management professionals to design and implement plans and programmes that reduce disaster risk and enhance resilience.

This e-learning course aims at strengthening the skills of managers and leaders in governments, the United Nations, civil society, or the private sector, to recognize when collaboration is effective, understand some of the most common barriers to effective collaboration, and to be able to put in place practical measures to overcome them.

Indicadores para evaluar y monitorear politicas, programas y proyectos

This online course aims to improve the capacity of public managers and other government sector officials to use indicators to evaluate and monitor policies, programmes and projects. The course provides an introduction on how to define, calculate, monitor and analyse indicators. It also shows participants how information systems can help monitor and evaluate objectives.

Sustainable Urban Mobility in Developing Countries

The course aims to enhance the capacity of local decision makers and urban/transportation planners to formulate and implement appropriate policies that contribute to sustainability in urban transport in developing countries. It allows an analysis of the important issues of sustainable transport and provides economic and financial instruments, institutional improvements, and environmental standards.

This e-learning course aims at enhancing the capacity of local decision-makers and sanitation professionals to make the most enlightened decisions and investments in the area of urban sanitation. Additionally, it provides analytical tools to understand the financial and institutional framework of the sanitation sector, taking into account the needs of urban poor communities.

The overall objective of this course is to allow a better understanding of the human rights-based approach to disability and to enable participants to identify gaps between existing policy and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, in order to implement it coherently.

Introduction to Corporate Social Responsibility

This course is designed to introduce participants to the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), operationalizing the term and ensuring a cohesive definition of CSR and its applications for corporate sustainability.
